Jesse Nathan is a queer poet and the author of The San Francisco Poem (Scribner, 2027) and Eggtooth (Unbound Edition Press, 2023), which won the 2025 Hefner Heitz Kansas Book Award in Poetry, the 2024 Great Lakes Colleges Association New Writers Award in Poetry, and the 2024 Housatonic Book Prize in Poetry. He was awarded fellowships from Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference and University of California, Berkeley. Raised in Northern California and rural Kansas, Nathan lives in Berkeley.
