Jennifer Rathbun
Jennifer Rathbun holds a PhD in contemporary Latin American literature from the University of Arizona. She is the author of the collection El libro de las traiciones / The Book of Betrayals (Artepoetica Press Inc., 2021), coeditor of two anthologies of poetry denouncing femicide along the United States–Mexico border, and translator of fourteen books of poetry by Hispanic authors, including Alberto Blanco, Minerva Margarita Villarreal, Fernando Carrera, Juan Armando Rojas Joo, and Carlos Aguasaco’s Cardenal en mi ventana con una máscara en el pico / Cardinal in My Window with a Mask on its Beak (The University of Arizona Press, 2022), winner of the 2021 Ambroggio Prize.
A member of the American Literary Translators Association, Rathbun is the associate editor of Ashland Poetry Press, a Spanish professor, and chair of the department of modern languages and classics at Ball State University.
