Jennifer Conlon
Jennifer Conlon is from North Carolina and earned their MFA in poetry from Arizona State University.
Conlon is the author of Taking to Water (Autumn House Press, 2023), chosen by Carl Phillips for the 2022 Autumn House Poetry Prize. The collection was also short-listed for the 2024 Lambda Literary Award in Transgender Poetry. They were also awarded the 2015 Aleida Rodriguez Memorial Award in Creative Writing from Arizona State University and the 2017 Katharine C. Turner Prize from the Academy of American Poets. In 2021, Conlon was the winner Boulevard magazine’s Poetry Contest for Emerging Poets. Their poems have been published by Bayou Magazine, Juked, Bennington Review, DIALOGIST, Threadcount, and elsewhere.
Conlon lives in North Carolina and teaches at Wake Forest University.
