Hildegarde Flanner

Hildegarde Flanner, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on June 3, 1899, was a playwright, poet, and essayist. Her poetry collections include At the Gentle Mercy of Plants: Essays and Poems (John Daniel & Company, 1986) and A Tree in Bloom and Other Verses (The Lantern Press, 1924). She died on May 27, 1987, in Calistoga, California.
