Henry Lawson
Henry Archibald Hertzberg Lawson was born in 1867 in Grenfell, New South Wales, Australia. The author of many books, including In the Days When the World Was Wide and Other Verses (Angus & Robertson, 1896), he is the first Australian writer to be accorded a state funeral and was featured on an Australian ten-dollar bill from 1966 to 1993. He died in Sydney in 1922.
