Hatim al-Tai

Hatim al-Tai was a pre-Islamic Arab poet from present-day Saudi Arabia. He was also an Arab knight and a ruler of Shammar in the sixth century. According to legends and tales, al-Tai was famously known for his virtues, from Arabia to Persia, India, and Pakistan. His son, Adi ibn Hatim, was a companion of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. Al-Tai died in 578 AD.
