Grace Hazard Conkling, born February 7, 1878, is the author of Witch and Other Poems (Alfred A. Knopf, 1929), Flying Fish: A Book of Songs and Sonnets (Alfred A. Knopf, 1926), Ships Log and Other Poems (Alfred A. Knopf, 1924), Wilderness Songs (H. Holt & Co., 1920), and Afternoons of April (Houghton Mifflin, 1915). She died on November 15, 1958.
