George Robert Sims

George Robert Sims, born on September 2, 1847, in London, England, was a journalist, playwright, poet, fiction writer, and memoirist known for his writing about society, gender, race, and class. He published dozens of works in his lifetime, including The Lifeboat and Other Poems (John P. Fuller, 1883) and The Land of Gold and Other Poems (John P. Fuller, 1888). He died on September 4, 1922.
