Gabrielle Marshall

Gabrielle Marshall is a seventh-grader from Virginia. Her poem “The Power of Hope Today” was the third-place winner of the 2021 Inaugural Poem Contest for Students.

Of her poem, judge Richard Blanco said, “Reminiscent of Emily Dickinson’s famous poem, ‘Hope is the thing with feathers,’ Gabrielle Marshall reaffirms the enduring and unwavering power of our nation’s hopes, which never abandons us, even during these trying times.”
