Fannie Isabelle Sherrick
Fannie Isabelle Sherrick Wardell, active between 1860 and 1880, was an American poet, essayist, columnist, and teacher, best known for her collection Love or Fame; and Other Poems (W. S. Bryan, 1880). A contemporary of Ella Wheeler Wilcox, who was also an influence on her work, Sherrick was a descendant of Moses Cleaveland, the founder and namesake of Cleveland, Ohio.
