Emily Lee Luan is the author of 回 / Return (Nightboat Books, 2023) and I Watch the Boughs (Poetry Society of America, 2022). A 2023 NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellow in Poetry, she is also the recipient of a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts.

From 2023 to 2024, Luan served as a visiting assistant professor in the MFA program in creative writing at Syracuse University.
