Ed Morales is a Nuyorican poet, as well as a Latinx writer and journalist. He is the author of Fantasy Island: Colonialism, Exploitation, and the Betrayal of Puerto Rico (Bold Type Books, 2019). A 2022–23 Mellon Foundation Fellow at the Center for Puerto Rican Studies, he teaches and lives in the Bronx, New York, on Lenape land.
