Denise Lajimodiere

Denise Lajimodiere is an Ojibwe poet and the author of Stringing Rosaries (North Dakota State University Press, 2019), the recipient of a Gold Medal from the Midwest Book Awards, as well as a Silver and a Bronze Medal from the Independent Book Publishers Association.

Lajimodiere lives on Turtle Mountain Reservation, in North Dakota. In 2023, she was appointed poet laureate of North Dakota.
