Charleen McClure
Charleen McClure, a poet and educator, was born in London and raised in the suburbs of Atlanta. She earned her BA from Agnes Scott College, her MA in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language (TESOL) from Hunter College, and her MFA in poetry at New York University.
McClure is the author of d-sorientation (BOA Editions, 2024). A recipient of a 2020 Rona Jaffe Foundation Writers’ Award, she has also received fellowships from The Conversation Literary Festival, Cave Canem, Callaloo, and VONA. McClure lives in New York City.
