Chandanie Somwaru

Chandanie Somwaru is an Indo-Caribbean poet from Queens, New York. She is the author of Urgent \\ Where The Mind Goes \\ Scattered (Ghostbird Press, 2021). She is the recipient of a 2024 Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Fellowship.

Somwaru is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.
