Bruce Covey
Bruce Covey was born in Waterbury, Connecticut. He received an MA in English literature from Yale University, after which he worked for several years in bookstore management.
He is the author of several poetry collections, including Change Machine (Noemi Press, 2014), Reveal: All Shapes & Sizes (Bitter Cherry Books, 2012), and Glass Is Really a Liquid (No Tell Books, 2010).
Of Covey’s work, Alice Notley notes, “They’re pretty painterly, the poems, with images that flow past one changing into words…pixels…serifs. Domestic, lyric, amorous—well why not?”
In 2003, Covey founded Coconut Poetry, a web-based journal and press. He currently teaches at Emory University and lives in Atlanta, Georgia.
