Brittney Corrigan
Brittney Corrigan is the author of the poetry collections Daughters, (Airlie Press, 2021), Breaking (Word Tech Editions, 2021), Navigation (The Habit of Rainy Nights Press, 2012), and 40 Weeks (Finishing Line Press, 2012).
In 2021, her poem “Vanishing” was the third-place winner of the Treehouse Climate Action Poem prize. Of her poem, judges Camille T. Dungy and Dr. Katharine K. Wilkinson wrote:
“Even as ‘Vanishing’ is a requiem for what is lost and what we're losing, the poem is also rallying cry, refusing to erase the efforts of the planet's youth and the many cries for climate justice ringing around the globe.”
Corrigan was raised in Colorado and has lived in Portland, Oregon for the past three decades, where she is an alumna and employee of Reed College.
