Dr. Ashaki M. Jackson earned her MFA in poetry from Antioch University in Culver City, California, and her doctorate in social psychology from Claremont Graduate University. 

Jackson is the author of two chapbooks, including Language Lesson (Miel, 2016). Her work has appeared in CURA: A Literary Magazine of Art and Action, Pluck! The Journal of Affrilachian Arts and Culture, and Prairie Schooner, among other publications. Jackson is also the publisher of The Offing, an online literary magazine. 

Jackson is a social psychologist and program evaluator residing in Los Angeles.
