Arturo Giménez Pastor
Arturo Giménez Pastor, born in 1872, was an Argentine writer, scholar, and critic. A doctor of law, he served as a professor of Spanish and Argentine literatures at the University of Buenos Aires. He often published his writings in the newspapers El Bien Público and La Prensa under the pseudonym “El Oidor Gaitas,” and later would use the pseudonyms “Re-bemol” and “Nemo” to sign his works. However, he wrote many books in his own name, including Arabescos (La Nación, 1892), Velada de cuentos (M. Gleizer, 1923), and the Historia de la literatura Argentina (Editorial Labor, 1945). He died in Buenos Aires in 1948.
