Arisa White

Arisa White is the author of Who’s Your Daddy (Augury Books, 2021), You're the Most Beautiful Thing That Happened (Augury Books, 2016), A Penny Saved (Aquarius Press, 2012), and Hurrah's Nest (Virtual Artists Collective, 2012). She is the co-editor of Home Is Where You Queer Your Heart (Foglifter Press, 2021) and co-author of Biddy Mason Speaks Up (Heyday, 2019), recipient of the Nautilus Book Award Gold Medal for Middle-Grade Nonfiction. Arisa’s work has been nominated for a Lambda Literary Book Award, California Book Award, NAACP Image Award, and Wheatley Book Award. A Cave Canem fellow, White serves on the board of directors for Foglifter and Nomadic Press, and is an assistant professor of English and Creative Writing at Colby College. She is also the creator of the Beautiful Things Project, where she curates poetic collaborations that center narratives of queer people of color.
