Andre Yang received his MFA degree from Fresno State University. His poetry has appeared in Beltway Poetry Quarterly, Hyphen Magazine, and Kweli, among other journals, as well as in the anthology Poetry of Resistance: Voices for Social Justice (University of Arizona Press, 2016). Yang is also a Kundiman Fellow, and he has attended the Tin House Summer Writers Workshop and the Napa Valley Writers’ Conference, and was a recipient of a UCross Foundation residency. As a founding member of the Hmong American Writers’ Circle (HAWC), he actively conducts and participates in public writing workshops. He lives in Fresno, California.
