Alice Cornelia Jennings was born in 1851 in Worcester, Massachusetts. Her first collection of poems was Heart Echoes (Red, Avery and Company, 1880). At the time of her death in 1940, she was a resident of the New England Home for the Deaf in Danvers, Massachusetts.
