Alan S. Trueblood

1917–2012

Alan S. Trueblood served as a professor of Hispanic studies and comparative literature at Brown University and also chaired the Department of Comparative Literature. A noted translator, Trueblood authored translations of the poets Luis de Góngora and Federico García Lorca. He resided in Little Compton, Rhode Island, before passing away on November 10, 2012.
