Achy Obejas is the author of numerous books of poetry and prose, including The Boy Kingdom / El reino de los varones (Beacon Press, 2025); Boomerang/Bumerán (Beacon Press 2021), a bilingual poetry book; and The Tower of the Antilles (Akashic Books, 2017), a finalist for the PEN/Faulkner Award in Fiction. 

Obejas is also a translator of work by writers such as Rita Indiana, Junot Díaz, and Wendy Guerra.
