Achy Obejas is the author of many books, including Boomerang/Bumerán (Beacon Press 2021), a bilingual poetry book and The Tower of the Antilles (Akashic Books, 2017), a finalist for the PEN/Faulkner Award in Fiction. A translator of work by writers such as Rita Indiana, Junot Díaz, and Wendy Guerra, Obejas is currently working on her second bilingual collection of poems, The Boy Kingdom.
