Abigail Chabitnoy

Abigail Chabitnoy is an Unangan and Sugpiaq poet. She earned her MFA from Colorado State University. 

Chabitnoy is the author of In the Current Where Drowning Is Beautiful (Wesleyan University Press, 2022) and How to Dress a Fish (Wesleyan University Press, 2019), short-listed for the 2020 Griffin Poetry Prize and winner of the 2020 Colorado Book Award. 

An assistant professor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Chabitnoy lives in South Hadley, Massachusetts, on the land of the Nonotuck people.
