Writers in the Schools (WITS) is transforming trees into “poet-trees” in Houston, Texas. Visitors are welcome to share their creations and hang them on “poet-trees” located along the Buffalo Bayou Trails in Eleanor Tinsley Park. DIY “Poet-Tree” kits are also available for those interested in setting up their own “poet-trees” in the area.
WITS, an organization that connects educators and professional writers with young students, is working with local artists Nicola Parente and Anthony Suber and the Buffalou Bayou Partnership to celebrate National Poetry Month through The “Poet-Tree“ Project.
