Founded in 2009 by the Kellogg-Hubbard Library, PoemCity covers the stores and streets of Montpelier, Vermont, with 425 poems submitted by Vermonters, including schoolchildren, nationally recognized and award-winning writers, and various local talents. PoemCity also offers workshops, readings, and lectures.

This year, Vermont Poet Laureate Chard deNiord, Lambda Literary Award winner Elena Georgiou, former Maine Poet Laureate Baron Wormser, and National Book Award finalist Cynthia Huntington are reading their work. PoemCity is also partnering with Green Mountain Transit to present Bus Stop Poems, a project which features poems by Ralph Culver, Sara Norton, and Susan Bauchner, among others, posted at bus stops in downtown Montpelier.
