Sponsored by the Division of Continuing Education at the University of Iowa, the Iowa Summer Writing Festival includes over one hundred non-credit workshops in a variety of genres, including poetry, fiction, flash fiction, playwriting, and hybrid forms. Held during weekend and/or weeklong sessions in June and July, the workshops are open to writers eighteen and over. The only requirement is the desire to write.
