Gabrielle Bates

Gabrielle Bates is the author of Judas Goat (Tin House, 2023), a finalist for the Washington State Book Award. She is the 2026 writer in residence at University of Tennessee and cohosts the podcast The Poet Salon. 

Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Bates lives in Seattle.
