Muriel Leung

Muriel Leung earned her PhD in creative writing and literature from the University of Southern California.

Leung is the author of the poetry collections Imagine Us, the Swarm (Nightboat, 2021), winner of the Poetry Society of America’s 2022 Four Quartets Prize and Bone Confetti (Noemi Press, 2016). She also published the novel How to Fall in Love in a Time of Unnameable Disaster (W. W. Norton & Company, 2024), winner of the 2025 Lambda Literary Award for Bisexual Fiction.

Leung lives in Los Angeles.
