Daniela Danz is the author of four books of poetry, including Portolan (Wallstein Verlag, 2025) and Wildniß (Wallstein Verlag, 2020), as well as two novels.

Danz is the recipient of the Deutscher Sprachpreis [German Language Prize] and, in 2021, was named vice president of the Academy of Sciences and Literature in Mainz. She directs Demokratisch Handeln, a German national youth competition for projects that promote democracy. 

Danz lives in Kranichfeld, in Thuringia, Germany.
