Writers Read Series Presents Paul Tran

The College of DuPage Writers Read Series features student-focused events that bring authors to the COD campus for readings and discussions. All Writers Read events are free and open to the public. All classes are welcome.

This semester the series welcomes author Paul Tran. Tran is the author of the debut poetry collection, All the Flowers Kneeling, from Penguin in the US and the UK. Their work appears in The New Yorker, The Nation, Best American Poetry, and elsewhere, including the Lionsgate movie Love Beats Rhymes with Azealia Banks, Common, and Jill Scott. A recipient of the Discovery/Boston Review Poetry Prize, as well as fellowships from the Poetry Foundation and National Endowment for the Arts, Paul is a Wallace Stegner Fellow in Poetry at Stanford University.

Tran will discuss their most recent work, “All the Flowers Kneeling” (Penguin Random Publishers).This event will be moderated by COD Professor of English and Chair of Literature, Creative Writing, and Film, Jason Snart.
