World Poetry Day Art Rock & Haiku Event

World Poetry Day will be celebrated with a free art and poetry workshop led by Delaware Beat Poet Laureate Babs McGrory, editor-in-chief of Pi(e)-ku Poetry: Bite-sized Poems to Help Fight Hunger, a throwback zine of micro-poetry zine, with a grassroots mission to help combat food insecurity in a fun, thoughtful, and creative way.

Attendees will receive supplies to paint haiku art rocks, and get a crash course on the art of writing haiku. At the completion of the celebration, everyone can participate in the dedication of a stone bench donated by Babs McGrory to the Corbin Studio & Gallery for a temporary Poetry Garden installation which will be on display through April to celebrate National Poetry Month and national Haiku Day on April 17th. All ages are welcomed and no registration is required.

This free event is sponsored by the Crisfield Arts & Entertainment District Project and Babs McGrory of Pi-ku Poetry. Please contact [email protected] with questions.
