Words Out Loud Spoken Word/Poetry Series presents John A. Nieves & Barbara DeCesare

The Words Out Loud Spoken Word/Poetry Series will present a reading by John A. Nieves and Barbara DeCesare on January 4, 2019, 7:30 p.m., at Glen Echo Park, 7300 MacArthur Boulevard, Arcade Building, Room 302, in Glen Echo, Maryland. The reading will be followed by an open mic and literary trivia quiz.
 
John A. Nieves's work has appeared in Southern Indiana Review. His first book, Curio, won the Elixir Press Annual Poetry Award. He received his M.A. from University of South Florida and his Ph.D. from the University of Missouri.
 
Poetry and fiction by Barbara DeCesare have been published in Gargoyle, Poetry, Free State, and others. She is a graduate of the Goddard Space Program Graduate Writing Program and the author of the collections Jigsaweyesore (Anti-Man Press), Adrift (Seventh Wave), and Silent Type (Paper Kite Press), as well as a bunch of tiny plays, odd works of fiction, and the one-woman-no-woman show, You’re Soaking In It.
