Curated by the Guggenheim’s Poet-in-Residence Taylor Johnson, Spirit of Movement brings together multidisciplinary creators Harmony Holiday, jaamil olawale kosoko, and Jayson P. Smith to explore the intersection of poetry, dance, and choreography. Following brief presentations of their current work, the panelists will come together for a conversation moderated by Johnson that unpacks the relationship between language and performance.
This panel is part of a series of conversations conceptualized by Johnson that brings poets into dialogue with practitioners from various fields, highlighting a cross-pollination between different disciplines to explore topics such as movement, sound, architecture, and environmental conservation.
