Andrea Abi-Karam is an arab-american genderqueer punk poet-performer cyborg, writing on the art of killing bros, the intricacies of cyborg bodies, trauma & delayed healing. Their chapbook, THE AFTERMATH (Commune Editions, 2016), attempts to queer Fanon’s vision of how poetry fails to inspire revolution. Simone White selected Andrea’s second assemblage Villainy for forthcoming publication with Les Figues. They toured with Sister Spit March 2018 & are hype to live in New York. EXTRATRANSMISSION (Kelsey Street Press, fall 2018) is their first book.
Poetry found Edwin Torres on the streets of the East Village, as a lingual-isualist; a traveler fluent in the languages of sight and sound. He’s the author of 8 books including Ameriscopia, Yes Thing No Thing and most recently from Wave Books, XoeteoX: the infinite word object. Forthcoming in January, a collection he has been editing for four years, The Body In Language: An Anthology, will be published by Counterpath Press.
