Laynie Browne is a poet, prose writer, teacher, and editor. She is the author of eighteen collections of poems and four books of fiction. Browne’s recent books of poetry include: “Apprentice to a Breathing Hand” (Omnidawn, 2025); “Everyone & Her Resemblances” (Pamenar, 2024); “Intaglio Daughters” (Ornithopter 2023); and “Practice Has No Sequel” (Pamenar 2023). She edited the anthology “A Forest on Many Stems: Essays on The Poet’s Novel” (Nightboat). Her poetry has been translated into Catalan, Chinese, French, and Spanish. Honors include a Pew Fellowship, the National Poetry Series Award, and the Contemporary Poetry Series Award. She teaches at the University of Pennsylvania.
Matthew Zapruder is the author, most recently, of the poetry collections “I Love Hearing Your Dreams” (Scribner, 2024) and “How to Continue” (The Economy Press, 2025). His previous books also include the nonfiction work “Why Poetry” (Ecco/Harper Collins, 2017). He is editor-at-large at Wave Books, where he edits contemporary poetry, prose, and translations. He teaches in the MFA in creative writing program at Saint Mary’s College of California.
Lynn Emanuel is the author of six books of poetry. Her selected poems, “The Nerve of It,” was awarded the Lenore Marshall Prize by The Academy of American Poets. She has also been awarded the Eric Matthieu King Award from the Academy, two fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the National Poetry Series Award, and a fellowship from the Civitella Ranieri Foundation. She has taught at various venues, including the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference and the Warren Wilson Program. Her poetry has been translated into Russian, Spanish, Mongolian, French, and Urdu.
