This community-oriented conversation will feature Harlem’s own former NY State Assembly candidate, Shana Harmongoff, and the National Youth Poet Laureate, Stephanie Pacheco, a dynamic poet and activist from the Bronx.
Our youth are frustrated and disenchanted with the political process, often feeling unheard and ignored by politicians. This event aims to bridge that gap, fostering a meaningful conversation even amidst differing opinions. Inspired by Shirley Chisholm’s powerful words, we ask: “What is the alternative? What can we offer these beautiful, angry, serious, and committed young people?”
