Join the 2019 Academy of American Poets Laureate Fellows as they read from their work at the 2019 National Book Festival – Poetry & Literature Center Stage at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center - Lower Level, Hall B, LC Area #5, in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, August 31, 2019.

The poets currently serve as poets laureate of states, cities, and counties across the U.S. and have received a combined $1,050,000 in recognition of their literary merit and to support civic programs. The Academy of American Poets Laureate Fellowships are made possible by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
