In this new series, visitors will enjoy an intimate, hour-long reading by a living poet in one of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum's historic galleries.
Jana Prikryl is the author of the poetry collection The After Party (2016). Her poetry and criticism appear widely, in magazines and journals such as the New Yorker, the Paris Review, the London Review of Books, the Nation, and the New York Review of Books. Her essays on photography and film appear regularly in the New York Review and the Nation. She is a senior editor at the New York Review of Books.
Visitors are welcome to experience the poetry reading as they move through the galleries. The reading is free with Museum admission and no registration is required. 15 chairs are available for seating with advanced registration.
