#PoetryNearYou Pick of the Week: Celebrating Women in Poetry: Honoring No More Masks! And Florence Howe

Take part in an evening to honor author, editor, publisher, and teacher Florence Howe and No More Masks!, the 1973 ground-breaking anthology of 20th century American women’s poetry, on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, 7 p.m., at Poets House's Kray Hall in New York City.

Co-editors Florence Howe and Ellen Bass will talk about the origins of No More Masks! and the thrill of discovering poems that revealed women’s experience: our thoughts, our passions, our struggles and our dreams. Reading poems from the anthology and their own recent poems will be Ellen Bass, Natalie Diaz, Florence Howe, Marie Howe, Aracelis Girmay, Donna Masini, Robin Morgan, Saretta Morgan, and Alicia Ostriker.
