The St. Cloud State University College of Fine Arts invites you to a Poetry Reading with Poet Danez Smith.
Danez Smith’s residency is sponsored by the School of the Arts, Department of English, and the Pehler Grant which provides funding for artists to present and engage with our campus community.
Smith is a Black, Queer, Poz writer & performer from St. Paul. He is the author of “Don’t Call Us Dead”, winner of the Forward Prize for Best Collection, the Midwest Booksellers Choice Award, and a finalist for the National Book Award. He is a member of the Dark Noise Collective and is the co-host of VS with Franny Choi, a podcast sponsored by the Poetry Foundation and Postloudness.
