Crystal Letters and RescuePoetix TM have teamed up to present OpenRoadPoetry's monthly Poetry & Open Mic! Performers are welcome to share their preferred medium, the floor is yours! (poetry, spoken word, singing, music, monologues, comedy, bellydancing, sitar, etc.). We will be adhering to a strict 5-minute timeline to respect every performer.

About JC Slam! Jersey City Slam is a nationally recognized poetry slam and open mic now in its 10th season. Jersey City Slam provides a safe space for poets to showcase their voices where they can free of bias, conflict, criticism, or potentially threatening actions. The poetry slam is an interactive poetry competition putting the power in the hands of the judges picked at random from the audience letting the community decide who is the winner. The open mic is open to any discipline and to people of all walks of life with something to share. Jersey City Slam offers workshops to enrich adults and to empower the youth through spoken word poetry. Our poets are leaders representing Jersey City in national poetry competitions, teaching in schools and universities, and being role models in our local community. About ORP OpenRoad Poetry is a monthly Poetry & Open Mic event in Jersey City benefiting local venues & non-profit organizations. Giving artists a platform to network & share their work.
