Poems of Peace and Conflict Transformation

Join us on Tuesday, May 4th, 4 - 5 p.m. CT, for “Poems of Peace and Conflict Transformation.” Presented by Kent State Trumbull, this interactive presentation is the culminating panel of the May 4th online program, “It Starts with You: Promoting Peace and Civil Discourse in our Lives,” which begins at 2 p.m. CT.

The Wick Poetry Center presentation will feature four poets: Philip Metres, Megan Neville, Carrie George, and Regan Schell whose poems were selected by Naomi Shihab Nye in our call for poems on peace and conflict transformation in honor of the 50th commemoration of May 4th. Additionally, Wick Outreach Manager Charles Malone will discuss outreach writing workshops in collaboration with the May 4 Visitors Center and Wick Director David Hassler will introduce the Global Peace Poem project.
