Loose Lips Poetry Reading

LOOSE LIPS is dedicated to bringing a diverse array of the best contemporary poets to Topanga and to provide audiences and authors with a poetic forum and community. Our commitment is to deliver literary events which are edgy, spiritual, inspiring and at times irreverent.
Featured July readers are Helene Cardona and Julayne Lee

Julayne Lee is a Korean-American poet based in Los Angeles, by way of South Korea and Minnesota. NOT MY WHITE SAVIOR is her first book. Not My White Savior is a provocative and furious book about race, culture, identity and what it means to be an inter-country adoptee in America.

Hélène Cardona’s poetry explores consciousness, the power of place, and ancestral roots. It is poetry of alchemy and healing, a gateway to the unconscious and the dream world. Her 7 books include Life in Suspension (Salmon Poetry, 2016), Dreaming My Animal Selves (Salmon Poetry, 2013), and multiple translations.

Loose Lips is free and open to the public. There will be refreshments and an Open Mic, so please join us!
