On select evenings this summer join us for Late Shift, where you are invited to explore current exhibitions and the collection galleries after hours, participate in thoughtfully curated, interactive experiences, and enjoy refreshments with friends at a cash bar in Frank Lloyd Wright’s iconic rotunda.
How can we use language to inspire change? What happens when words are lifted from the page? Which words will define this moment in history? At Late Shift: Words Matter, we invite you to take inspiration from Jenny Holzer’s installation and engage the power of the written word by constructing, translating, and enacting language and text through hands-on, creative expressions, poetry, and performance. During Late Shift, guests will also have the exclusive opportunity to see Holzer’s spiraling LED artwork programmed with a special selection of poetry chosen by the artist. Featuring international writers, the text speaks to experiences of war and the necessity of peace.
Each of our three Late Shift: Words Matter programs will feature different creative opportunities for exploring the potency of words—we hope to see you and your friends all summer long! Save $10 when reserving tickets for all three programs in the series. Reservations must be made in a single transaction to receive the discount, which will be automatically applied at checkout.
