The Louisiana Center for the Book in the State Library of Louisiana will celebrate National Poetry Month with “Just Listen to Yourself: Louisiana’s Poet Laureate Presents Louisiana Poets.” This program, in its thirteenth year, will be hosted by current Louisiana Poet Laureate Mona Lisa Saloy. Saloy has invited eight poets from across the state to read their work. Program participants will include Ashanti Anderson, Hasan Atkins, Jack B. Bedell, Emmory Bridges, Ariel Francisco, Antira Jackson, Sha’Condria Sices-Sibley, and Samia White.
Attendees are welcome to bring their own lunch and to come and go as their schedules allow. The State Library of Louisiana is wheelchair accessible.
