First Fridays Presents Reyes Ramirez

Inprint is proud to serve as a host for the First Friday Poetry Reading Series. The First Friday Series is the oldest poetry series in Houston and has been held monthly on the first Friday of each month since 1975. The series is coordinated and curated by Robert Clark. Each reading begins with a featured poet, followed by an open mic.

First Friday presents a reading by Reyes Ramirez on September 6. In addition to having an MFA in Fiction, Houstonian Reyes Ramirez received the 2014 riverSedge Poetry Prize, the 2012 Sylvan Karchmer Fiction Prize, and has poems, stories, essays, and reviews (and/or forthcoming) in Southwestern American Literature, Gulf Coast Journal, Origins Journal, The Acentos Review, Cimarron Review, riverSedge: A Journal of Art and Literature, Front Porch Journal, the anthology Pariahs: Writing from Outside the Margins from SFASU Press, and elsewhere.
