Porter Square Books: Boston Edition is delighted to welcome Daniel Johnson, Mass Poetry’s Executive Director, and Charles Coe for a poetry reading. Johnson will read from Shadow Act: an Elegy for Journalist James Foley and Coe from Purgatory Road.
Johnson will be joined by Dr. Ebele Okpokwasili-Johnson. The duo will offer choral readings, song, and more in a multi-media tribute to James Foley. Foley, an American journalist and beloved friend killed in Syria in 2014, is the subject of Shadow Act. Charles Coe will offer up poetry and song from Purgatory Road. An after party will take place at GrubStreet’s The Fabulist Café from 8:00 – 9:00 PM. Join us for this one-of-a kind poetic evening!
