Cave Canem Legacy Conversation: Toi Derricotte and Cornelius Eady

Tori Derricotte and Cornelius Eady founded Cave Canem Foundation in 1996 to remedy the underrepresentation and isolation of African American poets in the literary landscape. Cave Canem is home for the many voices of African American poetry and is committed to cultivating the artistic and professional growth of African American poets. Cornelius Eadyis the author of eight books of poetry, including Hardheaded Weather (2008). Toi Derricotte has published five collections of poetry, most recently the Undertaker's Daughter (2011).
